Welcome to Bradan Lodges!
Julia and Edward Timpson became the owners of Bradan Lodges in August 2025. They love the tranquillity and wild beauty of this part of Scotland and wish to share it through the rental of their lodges Pine Marten, Wildcat and Woodcock. Edward is a keen walker and is discovering the many mountains and lochs in the area while Julia is a wildlife enthusiast and birdwatcher. Both love outdoor activities, especially when accompanied by their lovable and lively border terrier, Lucas.
We hope you have a wonderful time in this extraordinary part of the world. You are staying in Dalriada, the most ancient kingdom in Scotland, where the kings of Scotland were once crowned (at Dunadd, you can visit the actual footprint of kings.) This area around Kilmartin Glen holds the highest concentration of Neolithic monuments in Europe, all lovingly detailed at the excellent Kilmartin Museum, which has just re-opened after a £2 million renovation project. We are surrounded by the most stunning scenery and coastline, with fabulous walks, places to cycle, boat trips and gorgeous coastal villages with excellent pubs, cafes and restaurants.
At the lodges, please feel free to roam around. There is ancient oak forest and lots of wildlife to spot, including many species of birds and even red squirrels and the occasional deer. We also have two very friendly donkeys, Sam and Rodney, who you might hear first thing in the morningl;
Please message us if you would like any recommendations, or if we can do anything to enhance your stay.

Lodge Provisions
Your lodge and BBQ hut are provisioned with enough charcoal, wood, kindling and firelighters for your first evening. So it might be worth picking up extra supplies on your way to the lodge. Tesco and Coop in Lochgilphead will have these provisions, as well as the Riverside which is on your right on the main road around 2 miles before the right turn to Kilmichael Glen where the lodge is situated.
